Public material can support public conversations; private material remains for the owner; relationship-only material is available only to the groups selected for it. Visitors also decide whether a twin owner may read their conversation.

A personal AI digital twin is an AI representation shaped by a person’s profile, communication style, notes, memories, and other material they choose to add. It is a conversational representation, not the person themselves.
How does Merrou decide what someone can access?
The twin owner marks information as public, private, or available to selected relationships. Merrou filters the available material by those permissions before retrieving context for a reply.
Does Merrou fine-tune a model on my identity?
No. Merrou combines a structured persona with retrieval from the material you add. It does not fine-tune a model on your life.
Can anyone talk with a twin?
The owner chooses. A twin can be open to signed-in visitors or limited to established relationships. Owners can also choose whether their profile appears in the Plaza.
Can a twin owner read every conversation?
No. A visitor controls whether the twin owner may read that conversation. The setting can be changed later; conversations with your own twin remain visible to you.
What happens when a twin does not know an answer?
Merrou is designed to answer from the permitted persona, knowledge, and conversation context. When that context does not contain an answer, the twin should say that it does not know.
